Faculty Guideline
Faculty Guidlines
The established guidelines mentioned below should be observed and executed in letter and in spirit while discharging one’s responsibilities, in order to facilitate the smooth functioning of the school. It's important to be an exemplar to the school community and to abide by the established rules and regulations. Additionally, efforts should be directed towards restoring and promoting a conducive atmosphere within the school. Maintaining discipline in both the classroom and assembly is crucial. Furthermore, staying diligent in correcting classwork, homework, and notes with proper remarks is essential. Incomplete or incorrect work should be rectified by students and reviewed by teachers before progressing to the next lesson. The preparation and submission of a weekly lesson plan to the principal, School Coordinator, or Academic Incharge is required every Monday. To maintain cleanliness, exercise books must not be left in classrooms or on staff room tables, and instead, cupboards should be used. It's vital to keep the staff room neat and orderly at all times.
Teachers must refrain from yelling or screaming at students, maintaining a demeanor that is both gentle yet assertive. It is imperative to complete the syllabus within the allocated time frame. Under no circumstances should physical punishment be administered to any student. Duty teachers, also known as Teachers on Duty (TOD), have the responsibility of ensuring the safety and discipline of students. During recess or before school starts, students should not be permitted to congregate or create noise within the school premises. Promptly after the bell rings, teachers should proceed directly to their classes, dedicating every minute to the teaching and learning process. Teachers must actively discourage students from conversing in Kashmiri/Urdu, except during Urdu periods with Urdu teachers. It is incumbent upon teachers to exemplify this by refraining from using Kashmiri/Urdu themselves. The provided daily schedule must be strictly adhered to, with no alterations permitted unless approved by the Principal. Classes are to be conducted solely in the assigned classrooms, and teachers cannot deviate from this without obtaining permission from the Principal.
Teachers should always remember that their leisure time is meant for correction and lesson preparation, and they should be occupied with their tasks in the staff room rather than engaging in personal conversations. The staff room should be seen as a workspace that promotes a productive atmosphere, not just a common area. Class teachers have the responsibility to monitor and note down any disciplinary issues in school diaries, including irregular attendance, poor academic progress, incomplete homework, missing materials, and disruptive behavior. These observations are essential for parents' awareness. Additionally, teachers should promptly notify the School Coordinator if they are unwell and submit a doctor's certificate the following day. Any exceptions not covered by school rules require the Principal's approval. Ultimately, the Principal holds the authority to implement changes for the school's greater good. It's crucial for teachers to adhere to these guidelines to demonstrate responsibility and effectiveness.
